Dual Use System
for Dual Pressure Requirements

Dual use systems are designed to accommodate the needs to power different trailer types, each with a separate system pressure requirement. An example would be where an operator may need to power a dump trailer which requires 2000 psi max pressure, but may also be required to power a walking floor or lowboy trailer, which has a requirement of 2500 to 3000 psi max working pressure.

Components:

A Chelsea (Parker) 8-bolt Air Operated Power Take-Off with a direct mount pump option.

A high pressure bushing type hydraulic pump is a necessary component in this type system, due to the demands of operating at the higher pressures of many of today's hydraulic trailer systems. The pump is rated at 31.50 GPM at 1200 rpm (6.38 C.I.R.), with a pressure rating up to 3500 psi maximum. Direct mounted to the PTO, it eliminates the need for a driveline.

Our Commercial Intertech (Parker) Dual Use Control Valve includes an adjustable main relief, preset at 2500 psi, which controls pressure to the power beyond port (used to power the higher pressure trailer system). An integrated port relief preset to 2000 psi controls pressure from the work port (used to power the standard pressure system, such as a dump hoist cylinder), thereby offering protection for components rated for lower pressure settings. Our Dual Use control valve is available for Air or Manual operation.

A Parker Inline Return filter assembly with flow capacity of 50 gallons and a 10 micron element rating is recommended.

A Hydraulic Reservoir with a minimum capacity of 50 gallons is recommended Reservoir should also have an integrated suction strainer and a return line port below the oil level, as well as an internal baffle.
